PFAS Analysis by U.S. EPA Method OTM-45 for Emissions
- Sample Matrix: emissions from stationary sources
- Sample Preparation: WAX solid-phase extraction
- Detection Technique: LC-MS/MS
Other Test Method 45 (OTM-45) Measurement of Selected Per- and Polyfluorinated Alkyl Substances from Stationary Sources
U.S. EPA Method OTM-45 is a performance-based draft method that can be used for the analysis of 50 PFAS in air emissions from stationary sources. It combines solid-phase extraction sample preparation using weak anion exchange (WAX) cartridges with LC-MS/MS analysis on a C18 column. Draft Method OTM-45 was released to encourage a consistent process for facilities, stationary source test teams, research laboratories, and other stakeholders and to promote discussion and further evaluation of the method. The full analyte list and recommended products for PFAS analysis in emissions by Method OTM-45 are provided below. In addition, you can register and directly compare analyte lists and matrices across PFAS analysis methods here or visit www.restek.com/PFAS to explore our technical resources for PFAS analysis.
