ISO 9001:2015
ISO 9001 is an internationally recognized standard for general quality management that prescribes systematic controls to ensure products and services consistently fulfill consumers’ needs and expectations. To meet ISO 9001 guidelines, companies must implement standard written procedures (SOPs) and produce full traceable documentation for products beginning at the time of manufacture straight through to distribution. Restek has further applied the ISO 9001 standard by creating systems for customer feedback and customer service as well as for the capture of corrective and preventative actions.

ISO/IEC 17025:2017
ISO/IEC 17025 applies broadly to any testing or calibration laboratory. To gain and maintain accreditation, Restek’s reference standards lab must demonstrate that its analytical testing procedures provide consistent, valid results and ensure the highest possible quality—from raw material purity to final product. It is also required to have systems in place for the continuous improvement of testing procedures based on both customer and employee feedback. Restek has proven its technical competence and attained accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025 by repeatedly and reliably generating exceptional test results.

ISO 17034:2016
ISO 17034 specifically covers reference standard producers, dealing not only with the quality systems used during manufacturing, but also with the determination of uncertainty levels associated with all values reported on a standard’s certificate. Restek conducted extensive studies on gravimetric, homogeneity between-ampul, storage stability, and shipping stability uncertainties. In addition, for all reference standards it produces, Restek’s lab reports a combined uncertainty that covers manufacturing, testing, storage, and shipping—allowing accreditation to cover both stock and custom-formulated solutions. Restek has proven its commitment to offering customers superior-quality certified reference materials by seeking and obtaining the ISO 17034 accreditation—which, when combined with registration to ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation, symbolizes the highest level of achievement possible for a reference standard provider.
