Description

CBGA is a precursor acidic cannabinoid for THCA, CBDA, and CBCA via enzymatic reactions. In the presences of heat, CBGA decarboxylates to form CBG. LC analysis of CBGA is highly recommended since this cannabinoid is considered temperature sensitive. Adding CBGA to the list of compounds measured in potency testing allows for a more comprehensive characterization of the cannabinoid content in a given cannabis product. Combine with Restek’s other cannabinoid standards to create a multicomponent instrument calibration set per your specific requirements.
